The US Post Office will mail a shoe or flip flop with packaging of any kind. Use a permanent fine point marker to compose your message. Have the shoe weighed to determine the correct amount of postage and affix the stamps securely with glue. I use "Shoe Goop,"glue made for shoes. It does an excellent job. However if you want to further insure the safety of your postage you can request that the postmaster cancel the stamps and cover them with tape before you mail the shoe. Your friend will be delighted when they open their mail box and find your unforgettable message. Trust me. It leaves a lasting impression.
