Carolyn knows the joy of the mountain top as well as the pain in the valley. When her brother was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, when her father was murdered, when her children faced illness and tragedy, or in the aftermath of September 11th she learned to trust in the power of an unseen God who did not abandon her on dark treacherous roadways.

Her and her husband, Ray have been down many roads together. They have open hearts and an open door which accounts for their large family of ten children - and all those who simply, "wannabe Greene." Their dinner table has so many extensions that it wobbles for lack of support. At mealtime, their grandson blesses the food by praying with tongue in cheek, "Dear God bless our little family." And He does.
