Much to our surprise and delight just hours before Christmas, we received word that our bid on 52 E. Sandusky was accepted. So although we were not able to celebrate Christmas in our new home our prayers were answered.

I am a navigational nightmare. I continually find myself getting turned around. That is why it came as no surprise when my well meaning daughter called attention to an article she found by Kelli Kennedy an Associated Press Writer. She suggested that I purchase several pairs of the shoes described in the article.

It is New Years Eve two hours and seven minutes the clock will reach that magical moment when we move from one year into the next. When I was young time moved slowly. I waited eons for the arrival of Christmas. Now the days come quickly. I no sooner clean up the packages and pack away the decorations than it is time to start decorating again. Sometimes I wonder if someone over wound the cosmic clock.

With everything we own in storage I knew that this years Christmas would be different. Our holiday traditions were "horibly mangled" without "our" decorations and ornaments. I fought images of little Who's gathered round the Christmas tree lamenting Christmases past. So every day I prayed, :"Lord, Please, let there be “no sad faces on Christmas."
